Commuting by car is very easy in this area. Parking is quite easy, and the majority of homes for sale are a reasonably short drive from the closest highway, such as Highway 407. On the other hand, this part of the town is not especially transit friendly. Nonetheless, it is easy to come across a nearby rapid transit station, such as Yonge / 16th-Carrville and Bathurst & Highway 7 on the orange | VIVA ORANGE and blue | VIVA BLUE, from the majority of properties in the neighbourhood. The neighbourhood is connected by approximately 10 bus lines, and the closest bus stop is usually just around the corner. South Richvale is not very bicycling-friendly since there are few bike lanes, and riding is rendered strenuous by the often sloping topography. Walking is also not very popular in this part of Richmond Hill, even though meeting day-to-day needs is convenient.

It is often feasible for house buyers in South Richvale to buy their groceries by walking. There are also around 10 restaurants and coffee shops in this neighbourhood.
