Getting around by bicycle is easy in this part of the city as bicycle riders do not encounter significant elevation changes, and the cycling infrastructure is reasonably well-developed. This neighbourhood is not especially suitable for walking since few daily errands can be run on foot.

Families will find that wherever their home is situated in this area, daycares and primary schools are nearby. In contrast, it can be difficult to reach high schools as a pedestrian. With respect to food, some, but not all, house buyers in this part of Ottawa will live within walking distance of one of around 10 grocery stores. This part of Ottawa is very quiet, as the streets are very calm. Lastly, a large number of locations within the neighbourhood have fairly good access to green spaces, including Portobello Park and Valin Park, since there are about 30 of them close by for residents to visit.
