Transportation
This neighbourhood is an extremely good part of District of North Vancouver for travelling by car. Parking is easy, and most houses for sale are a short car ride from the nearest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway. However, travelling by transit can be at times challenging in this part of the municipality due to the service's low frequency. Nonetheless, property owners have access to a few bus lines, and the closest bus stop is usually very close. This part of the municipality is not particularly conducive to walking because few day-to-day errands can be run on foot. This neighbourhood is also not very bike-friendly as cyclists are faced with a considerable amount of elevation changes, and the cycling network is not very extensive.

It is usually possible for house buyers in Maplewood to do groceries by walking. Moreover, a cafe is commonly just around the corner, and a small selection of restaurants is available in this part of the municipality as well. With regards to education, schools and daycares are convenient to get to on foot from anywhere in Maplewood.
Character
One of the highlights of Maplewood is its wide variety of green spaces. Parks are very well-spread out and there are a few of them nearby for residents to visit, resulting in them being very easy to reach from a lot of locations in Maplewood. As there are very few people out and about on the streets, this area is relatively quiet.
