Driving is very often the preferred approach to navigate this part of Windsor. Most properties for sale are a short drive from the closest highway, such as Dougall Parkway, and it is especially convenient to find a place to park. In contrast, the public transit service in this area is rather poor. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is served by a few bus lines, and bus stops are generally nearby. This part of the city is not very suitable for those who travel by foot as few daily needs can be met by walking.
Services
A fraction of residents in Roseland may be able to do grocery shopping by walking, while others will have to turn to a vehicle. A small selection of restaurants and cafes is available as well. Regarding education, families will find that wherever their house is situated in Roseland, primary schools and daycares are close by. In contrast, there are only a few high schools and therefore they can be a long walk away.
Character
Roseland is a fairly good neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a relaxed ambience. This area is reasonably quiet overall, as there tend to be low levels of noise from traffic - however some parts can be quite loud, especially near Dougall Parkway, Highway 401 or the railway line. Lastly, parks, including Captain Wilson Park, are very well-spread out and there are around 20 of them nearby for residents to enjoy, making them easy to get to.
