Driving is a great medium of transportation in Northward. Many properties for sale are a very short drive from the nearest highway, such as Highway 7, and it is especially convenient to park. However, the public transit service in this part of the city is somewhat poor. Nevertheless, there are a few bus lines traversing the neighbourhood, and it is very convenient to reach a nearby bus stop from most houses.

In contrast, daycares are not particularly numerous and accordingly may require a rather long walk to get to. Despite the somewhat busy feel, there are a lot of green spaces to enjoy in Northward. This neighbourhood remains relatively quiet, due to the presence of few pedestrians; however there can be higher levels of noise for those who are around the railway line or Highway 85.
