Transportation
Driving is usually the best approach to navigate this part of Halton Hills. Nearby highways, such as Highway 401, are easy to reach from anywhere in Hornby, and it is very convenient to access a parking spot. In contrast, the public transit system in this area is not very convenient. Walking is not very practical for residents in Hornby as very few daily needs can be met on foot. Hornby is also not very amenable to biking because there are quite a few hills, and the cycling network is not very well-developed.
Services
There are no high schools and no primary schools in this neighbourhood. Moreover, there are only a very small number of daycares and thus they can be a very long walk away. With respect to eating, doing one's groceries usually requires the use of a vehicle in Hornby. There are a few choices for those who care about restaurants and cafes in close proximity.
Character
Most areas in Hornby are reasonably quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour - although that is not the case closer to Highway 401. It is rather challenging to access parks since they aren't well-distributed. Still, there are a few green spaces close by for residents to enjoy.
