Commuting by car is very easy in this part of the municipality. Parking is quite easy. However, public transit riders may have limited options in Canyon Heights by reason of the service's low frequency. Thankfully, the neighbourhood is linked by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far from most properties. Most houses for sale in this part of the municipality are located in places that are not especially conducive to walking since meeting daily needs is sometimes challenging on foot. This neighbourhood is also not very suited for cycling because there is a significant amount of slopes, and the bicycling infrastructure is somewhat poor.

A vehicle is often needed in Canyon Heights to reach the nearest supermarket. With respect to education, parents and their children will welcome the proximity to primary schools, which are within walking distance from most, if not all, houses for sale in this part of District of North Vancouver. However, there are no high schools in Canyon Heights.

The character of Canyon Heights is exemplified by its calm ambience. Access to green spaces is very easy from the majority of locations within the neighbourhood since there are a few of them nearby for residents to explore. This part of the municipality is also excellent for those who like a quiet atmosphere, as the streets are generally especially tranquil.
